For this Easter egg, you’ll want to head to HEMA as soon as possible
HEMA always manages to surprise us with special new additions to its Easter egg assortment. Alongside familiar flavors such as praline, hazelnut, caramel, and the bestseller peanut butter, there are some unusual additions. And my favorite little liquorice treat is in there too: the sour belt!
To be honest, in January we still thought it was a little early to have Easter eggs in stores (understatement), but now all bets are off. You can’t walk into a store without tripping over displays filled with Easter eggs, and each flavor is wilder than the last.
FavorFlav’s Wieke has been devouring Kinder Bueno Easter eggs for three weeks now—if you have a little more self-discipline than Wieke, give it a try. And then immediately follow it up with my favorite du jour: the new HEMA hit has a milk filling with sour belt and popping candy. This Easter egg is the ideal combination of a refreshing sour tang, delicious sweet cream, and an explosion in your mouth. A bag costs 2 euros.
Also delicious for vegans
Also new to the HEMA assortment is the milk chocolate Easter egg with sprinkles. So that’s double chocolate, with a little more ‘bite’ than the classic milk chocolate Easter egg. There’s also a new vegan variant.
Disco fever
Prefer a large luxury Easter egg? They come in crazy popping disco dip, crunchy crisps, and chunky cookiedough flavors. These Easter eggs cost 7.50 euros. Well done, HEMA!
