For true party animals: you can now play Jell-O Shot Jenga
Does Saturday feel like Tuesday and Friday like Thursday? Then it’s time for a party game. Challenge your neighbors over the fence, or maybe you can get your adult housemates on board. And not a hours-long game of Monopoly or Risk, but a fast-paced game of Jenga.
A woodworker in America came up with this brilliant idea: giant-sized Jenga, with cavities in the blocks that fit a Jell-O shot perfectly. Never made Jell-O shots before? They’re tiny boozy puddings, but instead of being made with fruit juice or water, they’re made with vodka or other strong liquor. Because such a pudding is absolutely disgusting (I mean: gelatin pudding, ew!) you slurp it down in one go. Boom!
One or two shots
Brian Calteaux sells the game through Etsy. It consists of 54 brick-sized Jenga blocks, 15 of which have a cavity for a shot. Five blocks even have two holes, so if you pull one out of the Jenga tower without it collapsing, you get to knock back two shots. He made the holes in the blocks just large enough for the plastic pudding cups to fit inside.
Into the shed
The whole set costs 80 euros, and if you want, Brian can burn a personal message into a few blocks. What a thoughtful gift for a newlywed couple—or perhaps better: for the bachelorette party. Think 80 euros is too steep? Then join the queue at the hardware store for a few beams and lock yourself in your shed with a table saw and a drill fitted with a hole saw.
