Gin brand Tanqueray opens speakeasy cocktail bar in laundrette: The Extraordinary Dry Bar
January a boring month? Not at all! Even though all the holidays are over again, you can keep the party vibes going for a little while longer at the Tanqueray speakeasy cocktail bar. And all while finally getting that sequin dress or tuxedo from the Christmas dinner steamed.
Because Tanqueray’s Extraordinary Dry Bar is a cocktail bar and laundrette in one. Having to do your laundry is a given for all of us, but this time Tanqueray lets you turn it into a party – including a delicious cocktail with bites at the bar.
Drinking cocktails and doing laundry
When you visit The Extraordinary Dry Bar, you can have one item of clothing cleaned free of charge per person. You can drop off your clothes for steaming and pick them up again whenever it suits you, while sipping a 0.0 Tanqueray cocktail in the meantime. The cocktails are made by Stefan Sumuel, known among other things from Bar Feijoa in Amsterdam and winner of the Entree Best Bartender Award 2022.
Have nothing to wash, but still want to join in? You can simply stop by the pop-up for a drink and a dance. The laundrette bar is open on 14 January from 17:00 to 20:00 and can be found at Kerkstraat 56 in Amsterdam. Throughout January, after your visit to the laundrette you will also receive a code that gets you one free Tanqueray 0.0 cocktail when ordering one at Bar Feijoa!
