Staycation, in other words: taking a holiday in your own country, is incredibly trendy. Supernova, Rotterdam
The ‘Room Service’ package at Supernova in Rotterdam brings together many wonderful things Rotterdam has to offer. You’ll sleep at Supernova, a cool and idiosyncratic contemporary boutique hotel in a former daycare centre and outdated hotel. Last year, the hotel won the Best Hotel Design category at the Entree Awards (where hospitality awards are presented in various categories). The three-course dinner comes from restaurant Héroïne—and is served in your room. The bartenders from Dr. serve matching cocktails, while the live stream from Operator Radio provides the music. The evening can end with a film selected by arthouse cinema Kino. And the morning after starts with breakfast in bed featuring products from Harvest Coffee Brewers. The package was available to book several times recently, and more local collaborations and pop-ups will be set up at Supernova in the coming period.
SWEETS hotel, Amsterdam
A special collaboration in Amsterdam: SWEETS hotel is joining forces with local businesses for the ‘Every-Disadvantage-Has-Its-Advantage’ package. SWEETS hotel consists of 28 bridge keeper’s houses, built between 1673 and 2009, scattered along Amsterdam’s canals. Upon arrival at the bridge keeper’s house, a drinks-and-snacks package and starter (the famous Russian salad from Rijsel) are waiting for you, after which the rest of the Rijsel menu is delivered. The following morning, Coffee Concepts brings breakfast, and you can walk or cycle an architecture route by the World Architecture Festival and Geotourist. With discount vouchers from Vleesch noch Visch, Latei and Hotel Scheepskameel, you can also pick up something delicious. SWEETS hotel won the Best Hotel Concept category at the Entree Awards in 2018.
Parc Broekhuizen, Leersum
Anyone arriving for the first time along the driveway of the stately Parc Broekhuizen is amazed at every turn. Because what a beautiful setting, what a stunning building, and how beautiful it is inside! The ‘Regional Package’ at Parc Broekhuizen in Leersum beautifully showcases the many wonderful things the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, the Betuwe and the Kromme Rijn region have to offer. Book two nights and discover the local gems by bike or car, such as farm shops, flower and fruit-picking gardens and wine estates. The chefs at Parc Broekhuizen provide a basket and blanket so you can enjoy a relaxed lunch. In the evening, you’ll have a four-course dinner at restaurant Voltaire*, Parc Broekhuizen’s restaurant, and sleep at the hotel. On the second night, the chefs prepare a six-course dinner. Parc Broekhuizen won the Best Hotel Design category at the 2017 Entree Awards.
De Draak, Bergen op Zoom
A ‘Purely Dutch’ package. That is the name of the package offered by hotel De Draak in Bergen op Zoom. The package consists of an overnight stay at hotel De Draak and dinner at restaurant Hemingway, in the oldest part of the hotel (the Sint Maartenzaal). Why ‘Purely Dutch’? The restaurant is affiliated with the Dutch Cuisine movement, and De Draak, founded in 1397, is the oldest hotel in the Netherlands. Another nice touch: chef Torben Bouterse picks fresh flowers and herbs from the historic Stadsmoestuin of the Markiezenhof.

A Michelin Star Staycation—how indulgent can it get? Dinner by Jacob Jan Boerma and Randy Karman in the opulent restaurant The White Room*, an overnight stay at the hotel and breakfast in the magnificent Winter Garden. We tried it before you, and it was ama-zing! Due to its enormous success, the hotel will be offering similar staycations in the coming period.
