Here you drink the best gin and tonics in 020

At FavorFlav, we love a good gin, as I told you recently when I wrote about my new favorite Damrak Gin, and I do enjoy some fruit in my glass. In ‘my’ Amsterdam, you can drink that gin and tonic all over the city. But where does it taste best of all? Together with the people behind Damrak Gin, we’ve made a selection for you.

Van Lennep – drinks

For me, it’s wonderfully close by, in Oud-West. When the weather is nice, you can drink your gin and tonic here on the terrace by the canal or in the courtyard garden. And at FavorFlav, we love a good courtyard garden. Having drinks indoors is lovely too, and before you know it, you’ll stay for a rotisserie chicken that’s always turning away.

Lion Noir – restaurant

This restaurant on Reguliersdwarsstraat is a sight to behold (with another one of those dreamy courtyard gardens). This is where you go for a long dinner and to lose track of time. Because that interior, wow. I always feast my eyes here. And how do I kick off an evening like that? By the open fireplace, of course, with a generous gin and tonic.

Madam – experience

The highest sky bar in 020, in that magnificent A’DAM Tower in the north. With a gin and tonic in your hand, you have the best view of Amsterdam. But don’t just look outside, because there’s plenty to feast your eyes on indoors too. You can even dance in this beautiful hangout.

The Tailor – cocktails

How often do you visit a hotel bar in your own city? Far too rarely, I’m sure. At the atmospheric cocktail bar The Tailor in NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, they know exactly what to do with that Damrak Gin and turn it into a fantastic cocktail. Order some bites to go with it and you have the ideal start to your date night.
