Hit in America: croissant cereal

Six out of seven days, I skip breakfast, but if this trend makes its way to the Netherlands, that will be a thing of the past. Because how cute are these croissant cereals? Bakeries across the Netherlands, if you’re reading this: please add these to your range as soon as possible.

Otherwise, I’ll have to travel all the way to L’Appartement 4F in Brooklyn Heights, New York, to pick them up. That in itself would of course not be a punishment, but it would be pretty expensive. And the cereals are already pretty pricey: 50 dollars, to be exact.
Handmade one by one
Each mini croissant is handmade individually, which also explains the high price. So how are they made? Each croissant is rolled, baked, dipped in homemade cinnamon syrup (too delicious), and then dried again. The result: the breakfast of your dreams.
It won’t surprise you, but people are absolutely raving about this cereal. They’re even so popular that they’re currently completely sold out at L’Appartement 4F. Luckily, they have plenty of other delicious things, but this one is now truly at the top of my list of things I want to try. So once again, my appeal to Dutch bakeries… Please. Make. This.
