Hungover or corona?! Test it on this site
Woke up this morning with a pounding head, a bone-dry throat, coughing and spluttering? In these times, you quickly think ‘CORONA, HELP’, but let’s be honest: before, you would simply blame the drinks from the night before. So what is it?
Okay, with the hospitality industry closed, those drinks may be flowing a little less freely, but still. Even those few beers and glasses of wine at home can cause a mighty hangover. Friends Timo, Joram, Romy and Lisanne know all about that. “After a party, we were suuuper hungover. Especially me,” says Lisanne. “The joke soon became: ‘Am I hungover or do I have corona?'”
Germ confetti
Once the idea of turning it into a self-test website was born, things moved quickly. “Timo is good at making websites and put something together in a few minutes.”
The result: https://brakofcorona.nl/. A simple test to see whether you’re hungover or have corona. Just kidding, of course. If the name hadn’t made that clear, the germ confetti certainly will.
A joke that got out of hand
Without giving away too many spoilers, I’d say: definitely give it a try. More than a million people have already gone before you. Lisanne: “The Instagram account @jezusmanlul shared it. Then things took off. The reactions are very positive; everyone thinks it’s really funny. So it’s a little joke that got rather out of hand.”
