Ice Cream at Vicini

We already enjoyed the pizzas and pastas at this fantastic restaurant in Rotterdam, and now there’s also freshly churned ice cream.

Yes, it’s July 1, which means that the doors of the pop-up ice cream bar at restaurant Vicini on Kortekade are open.

The place is called Vicini Gelato! Gelato!, referring to the Italian ice cream that is freshly churned here. Just like the restaurant, the ice cream shop will be located on Kortekade. This means that Osteria Vicini now has a proper ice cream menu, so you can finish your meal not only with tiramisu, but also with an ice cream sundae.

At Gelato! Gelato!, you can order lime sorbet, as well as yogurt ice cream with seasonal fruit. Everything is made using only the best ingredients, from roasted pistachios to fresh fruit.

The place is open seven days a week, all year round. Yes, really—even if you’re craving a cone in December, you’ll need to head to Kortekade.
