Italians lose it on Twitter: THIS IS NOT PASTA

Culinary trends come and go. One year you’re eating Peruvian-Japanese dishes, the next it’s Nordic, low-carb, or kiwi suddenly turning up everywhere again. And which culinary tradition towers above all of them? Italian cuisine, of course. Popular worldwide and more or less the same for centuries. Except when Americans supposedly start cooking Italian food, because that’s when things go wrong.

Italians tear their hair out with rage, bite their fists in frustration and scream into their pillows, because the photos of Italian dishes they come across online are far too frustrating for them to look at. You know how upset they get about Hawaiian pizza, but these creations go even further beyond the pale!
