Janny launches her own tableware collection

No one enjoys a beautifully set table quite like Janny van der Heijden. This culinary all-rounder is an avid tableware collector herself. So when she was asked to develop her own tableware collection featuring her signature, she didn’t need much convincing.

Sharing Moments is what her tableware collection is called. The essence of food, according to Janny, is sharing precious moments together, hence the name. During a beautifully styled – what else would you expect – breakfast at De Bijenkorf, her new creation was presented to the media.
Style
The collection contains a large number of items: everything you could need in terms of tableware for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, drinks or dinner. The style is just like Janny herself, we’d say: elegant, stylish, slightly chic but never pretentious. A mix and match of classic and contemporary.
The collection is inspired by Delft Blue, which originated as an imitation of the famous blue-and-white Chinese porcelain. The designs incorporate patterns including blue tulips. Once upon a time, it was set in stone which plate or bowl you had to use for what. But Janny doesn’t think everything needs to be so precise. You can use a Janny bowl for espresso, but just as easily to serve a sauce. A deep plate isn’t only suitable for soup; it’s also perfect for pasta or risotto.
Oh yes, the collection also includes tea towels, oven mitts, pot holders and table runners. For the diehard Janny fan who wants to go all out.
