Jumbo issues food warning for buns and soft drinks

Supermarket chain Jumbo has issued an important food warning for not one, but two different products. The products concerned are Jumbo Hamburger Buns and Orangina soft drinks (Regular and Zero). Check your pantry (not suitable, money back).

Jumbo White Sesame Deluxe Hamburger Bun
The specific product concerned is Jumbo White Sesame Deluxe Hamburger Buns with a best-before date of 23-04-2023 and EAN 8718452560219. What is the issue? The packaging contains the wrong product, namely Brown Sesame Deluxe Hamburger Buns, meaning that the allergen egg is not listed. Not convenient for people with an egg allergy.

Orangina Regular and Zero
Orangina is still available in other sizes and flavours, but in some cases the thread around the neck of Orangina Regular and Zero bottles was slightly damaged before they were sealed. As a result, there may be a small piece of plastic on the outside of the bottle, and it cannot be ruled out that the piece may have ended up in the soft drink. This only concerns specific Orangina batches from one bottling line and involves the following EAN numbers and best-before dates:
Orangina regular 50cl
EAN 8435185955463
Best-before date 05/09/2023
Orangina zero 1.4L
EAN 8435185955456
Best-before date 18/09/2023
Orangina regular 1.4L
EAN 8435185955432
Best-before date 18/09/2023

Not suitable, you’ll get your money back
For all three products, the following applies (and only to products with these best-before dates): when you return them to the store, you will get your money back. For more information, you can contact customer service on 0800 – 0220 161 or Jumbo.com
