Kornuit Jajem: definitely not a kopstoot in a can

When I heard that beer brand Kornuit and Amsterdam jenever brand Jajem were going to launch a specialty beer, I thought it could only mean one thing: a kopstoot in a can. But sometimes one plus one doesn’t equal two.

The specialty beer the two brands are launching is indeed a combination of beer and jenever, but not a kopstoot. They thought that would be a bit too intense, so they put their own spin on it: a mix of Kornuit pilsner, Jajem jenever and natural citrus aromas with 5.9% alcohol.
Summery specialty beer
In other words: a specialty beer with the same fresh, slightly sweet and floral flavor as the jenever we know from Jajem, but considerably less potent than a kopstoot. ‘Ideal for a party, festival or on the terrace,’ if we are to believe the makers.
Flashing jacket
Since the jenever beer will initially only be available at a number of hospitality venues, clubs and festivals, it has been given a flashy jacket. A UV jacket, to be precise, so it can really shine under blacklight.
