Lidl is now selling chocolate bitterballen
Normally, I’m really not a daredevil when it comes to these kinds of weird snacks, but this honestly sounds delicious to me. Unfortunately, I’ve lost my Airfryer (yes, apparently that’s possible; you can actually lose an Airfryer), but I’m going to order a new one and then I’ll test these—and I’d actually bet money that they’re delicious too.
Because what’s not to like here? We also absolutely love chocolate fondue, so surely this can’t be anything other than delicious too, right?
Off to Lidl for chocolate bitterballen
Okay, when you think of bitterballen, sweetness probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but if you forget that for a moment, this is simply a really good snack. Well, one of the two new sweet bitterballen, that is. Because there’s one variety with chocolate and salted caramel (yes, yes, yes), but also another with white chocolate and strawberries (no, no, no).
Sorry, but warm white chocolate with strawberry flavour in a crispy coating? That really doesn’t sound appealing to me at all. But in the name of journalism, of course I’ll try them. With great reluctance. But the other ones? I’m guessing they’ll become a permanent fixture in my freezer.
