Little boy ‘borrows’ his mother’s phone and orders $100 worth of McDonald’s

Start them young… You know what they say. I was raised on healthy food myself, which is why I enjoyed it all the more when we went all out with unhealthy food. Getting pizza from the pizzeria in the village – PARTY. Stopping by McDonald’s on vacation – a day to remember forever. And when I was finally allowed to take the step from a Happy Meal to a Big Mac… I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Because McDonald’s was so special, I already had a particular fascination with it when I was younger. That’s probably simply because you know it’s not the healthiest food, and that you only eat it on special occasions… And so you always want it.

But when I was little, McDonald’s didn’t offer delivery at all yet. So if I wanted to get my hands on that Big Mac, I really had to go there myself, and my parents would have noticed pretty quickly. But in 2020, of course, there are many more ways to satisfy your McDonald’s craving.

‘Can I just borrow your phone for a minute?’

32-year-old Raissa Andrade found that out recently when she briefly left her phone unattended. Her little son often uses her phone (because you can play games on it), so she wasn’t suspicious. A little too trusting, as it turned out, because he wasn’t playing games at all.

Happy? Meh…

Because then the doorbell rang and tadaaaaa – $100 worth of McDonald’s food was delivered. What had he ordered? 6 Happy Meals, 6 special-offer meals, 10 milkshakes, 8 McSundeas, 8 bottles of water and 8 toys. You’d think his day couldn’t get any better. Well, actually, it could, because the yellow Minion toy he wanted most wasn’t included. No dinner then? That’ll teach him!
