Lotus has chocolate bars filled with Speculoos (!)

lotus

Oh happy day, good news about Lotus biscuits. You know, those biscuits you love to have with your coffee — hence the name ‘Koffie leutjes’, although I find them so incredibly addictive that, when my coffee has long since run out, I’m still nibbling on those biscuits.  The same Lotus launched Speculoos a while ago. I don’t eat it on bread, by the way, but in tiramisu, and yes, it’s every bit as delicious as it sounds: even more delicious, actually. And now there’s yet another new product I want to sink my teeth into.

Lotus now has biscuits on the shelves that are surrounded by chocolate and filled with Speculoos spread. Holy chocolateballs, that sounds good.

Run to Albert Heijn

Because they’ve already been spotted there. At first, they were only available in Belgium, and of course we were pretty unhappy about that — because we needed to get these in the Netherlands too. Well, we had to be patient for a little while, but they’ve finally arrived at our very own Appie. I don’t know yet whether the other supermarkets have stocked them too (but I’ll investigate for you), but you’re guaranteed to find them at Albert Heijn (where they cost 2.79 per 180-gram bar).

Move over Koffie leutjes, from now on I’m only eating these with my coffee.
