If a Louis Vuitton bag is just a little too expensive for you, the brand-new chocolate spread might be within reach. Although… Due to its limited availability, a genuine black-market trade has emerged, with prices of up to $500 per jar. Whut?!

Louis Vuitton recently launched an exclusive chocolate hazelnut spread, available for $50 per jar. Already an insanely large amount of money in itself, but by now the price has already increased tenfold. Naturally, you’re wondering where this chocolate spread is available (and who is crazy enough to pay so much for it).
Where can you buy Louis Vuitton chocolate spread?
I can answer that first question. The exclusive spread, which is of course available in a limited edition, can only be found at two locations worldwide: Paris and Singapore. This strategic launch naturally reinforces its exclusivity and makes it a collector’s item among Louis Vuitton fans. Who is crazy enough to spend so much money on it? No idea.
Unfortunately, I can’t tell you what Louis Vuitton’s chocolate spread tastes like either. It doesn’t seem very different from other chocolate hazelnut spreads to me. My favorite, Nocciolata Crunchy by Italian brand Rigoni di Asiago, is simply available in the Netherlands (including at Albert Heijn) and is incredibly creamy yet crunchy thanks to the roasted hazelnut pieces. It costs less than 6 euros.
