Do you eat plant-based, but still often dream of the taste of a crispy chicken nugget from McDonald’s? There’s a good chance you’ll soon be able to eat them again, as McDonald’s is launching vegan nuggets. Yes!

As you can imagine, there isn’t a gram of chicken in the plant-based nuggets. The snack’s filling consists of a mixture of ingredients including potato, chickpeas, onion, carrot and corn. Naturally, they’re surrounded by that characteristic crispy coating, which tastes best when your portion comes fresh from the fryer.

For now, the nuggets are only available in Norway—sadly, not yet in the Netherlands. Our little frog country usually follows a little later. When and whether the nuggets will come to the Netherlands is not yet known, but until then, fortunately, you still have plenty of choice when it comes to vegetarian snacks at McDonald’s. Before you can order those nine ‘chicken’ nuggets, you can simply enjoy the Veggie McChicken and Veggie Homestyle Crispy Chicken.
