Milka launches two new limited-edition bars: you’ll want to try the apple pie-flavored one
Do you love chocolate (uh, hello, is that even a question?) and apple pie? Then the new Milka bar might just be for you. It combines two crowd favorites in one bar. Is it a dream come true? We already tried it for you.
The new flavor
About a year ago, Milka called on its chocolate fans to come up with a new flavor. Participants in the competition could choose from nearly 80 ingredients, of which they had to select three and use to describe their bar. My own Billionaire’s Shortbread bar, which I came up with myself, unfortunately didn’t win any prizes, but these bars did.
Actually apple pie
The flavors ‘Our coffee date’ and ‘Our apple pie genius moment’ emerged as the winners. The coffee date bar is a milk chocolate bar with a coffee flavor, filled with cookies, while the apple pie version is a milk chocolate bar with apple pie flavor, speculaas and caramel. And yes, this bar really does taste like apple pie! And oh, those pieces of caramel and speculaas in it—so delicious!
Limited Edition
The two new Milka flavors are available from today at most supermarkets in the Netherlands, as well as internationally in fifteen European countries, as a Limited Edition. And if you’re pregnant, we have especially good news. Because it turns out that eating chocolate during your pregnancy results in a smarter and even healthier child. Well, look at that.
