New: KFC Chickenless Chicken Burger

It’s unstoppable: the veggie trend in snackland. Following the recently launched veggie Rebel Whopper from Burger King, KFC is now introducing a Chickenless Chicken Burger.

The Chickenless Chicken Burger isn’t going on the menu right away; this week, it’s entering the testing phase. Specifically at KFC Akerpoort in Amsterdam. Will you give it a try?
Not made from soy
The KFC Chickenless Chicken Burger is breaded according to the original KFC recipe and deep-fried (in a separate fryer) to make the burger truly crispy. The KFC Chickenless Chicken Burger isn’t made from soy, but from a unique ingredient: Quorn Mycoprotein. A sustainable and nutritious source of protein, originating in Europe, according to the people at KFC. If everyone is enthusiastic, the veggie chicken burger will be permanently added to the menu at the beginning of 2020.
Give it a try
Want to be one of the first to sink your teeth into this crispy veggie burger? You can! During the test, from today (25 November) through Sunday 1 December, the Chickenless Chicken Burger is available in limited quantities exclusively at KFC Akerpoort in Amsterdam.
