New Porsche x SMEG collection: the ultimate kitchen appliances for design enthusiasts
It’s no secret that design and craftsmanship are becoming increasingly important in the kitchen. And now there’s a collaboration that embraces both worlds: Porsche x SMEG. Inspired by Porsche’s rich motorsport history and SMEG’s iconic design DNA, the two brands are launching an exclusive collection of kitchen appliances that brings together form, function and, well yes: emotion.
A tribute to Porsche’s first Le Mans victory
The Porsche x SMEG collection is not just any collection of kitchen appliances. The series is inspired by the legendary Porsche 917 KH, which secured Porsche’s first overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970. The collection includes a striking red refrigerator and a matching automatic coffee machine, each limited to 1,970 numbered units. For the happy few, in other words. The Porsche x SMEG 917 Salzburg Red – Limited Edition may well be the most exclusive refrigerator in this collection. Only 1,970 numbered units are available, each featuring a metal plaque to emphasise that exclusive and authentic feeling. With the iconic Porsche stripes across the door and sides. The matte-black handle and dark interior add an extra sleek design touch.
Coffee machine BCC12 | 917 Salzburg Red
The Porsche x SMEG coffee machine is another highlight of the collection. This automatic coffee machine in Salzburg Red has a built-in grinder, matte-black accents and Porsche lettering on the sides. Each coffee machine is numbered and pays tribute to the Porsche 917 KH’s victory at Le Mans. It will set you back € 1,399.
