New: The Oliebollenbar where you can pick up beer-infused oliebollen

oliebollen

We’ve barely taken the oliedellen out of the fryer when a new oliebol appears on the horizon. And this one is another delicious treat! Because this time it’s not filled with a frikandel, or with limoncello, but with beer! Available at the new Oliebollenbar.

Tomorrow, December 10, De Oliebollenbar will open. The first oliebollen bar where you can pick up beer-infused oliebollen, such as the ‘B*ck off Bol’ and the ‘Funky Falcon Bol’. For the little ones, there’s the special alcohol-free ‘0.bol’. Until December 31, De Oliebollenbar will be located at the Berlagebrug in Amsterdam.

No beer, but bol

Yes, you read that correctly: at the Berlagebrug, near the Ringdijk, you’ll find the first bar from tomorrow where you can pick up freshly baked oliebollen instead of freshly tapped beers. “We enjoy surprising people through creativity. That is quite a challenge at this time, though. That’s why we felt it was important to do something fun in December, so we don’t forget to have fun too. It’s extra nice that we can do this in a wonderful collaboration with Two Chefs Brewing,” says Roby Hormis of Tosti Creative, one of the co-founders.

The B*ck Off Bol

At De Oliebollenbar, you’ll find oliebollen made with various beers from Amsterdam brewery Two Chefs Brewing. For example, you can choose the fresh Funky Falcon Bol or a slightly heavier bock variant, the B*ck Off Bol. The kids have also been taken into account, and the little ones can enjoy an alcohol-free ‘0.bol’. “These beer-infused oliebollen beautifully demonstrate the versatility of beer. It’s not only delicious to drink, but also tasty to cook or bake with—for example, during the holidays!” says Marc Galestien of Two Chefs Brewing.

Delicious through the bike-through

If you do decide to leave the oliebollen and would rather take a liquid snack home, it’s also possible to order a Two Chefs Brewing beer (or two) until 20:00. Thanks to the bike-through, you can easily pick up the beers and/or oliebollen by bike, so you can enjoy them at home even faster!

De Oliebollenbar will be decked out in full Christmas regalia throughout December at the quay of the Berlagebrug (near the Ringdijk) in Amsterdam.

Opening hours:
Monday to Friday      14:00 – 21:00
Saturday & Sunday        12:00 – 21:00
