News: McDonald’s launches vegetarian chicken nuggets
Good news for the little chickens on this October 1 World Vegetarian Day. Mickey D’s has listened to the growing demand for more vegetarian options at its 245 locations in the Netherlands.
Be quick, because the veggie nuggets will be on the McDonald’s menu until November 4. If they prove popular, they may stay for longer or even become permanent. And if you think renovating your own kitchen is a big job: all 245 kitchens would have to be overhauled in that case for one extra pan in which these animal-friendly friends would have to be prepared. They call it “an operational challenge” themselves. But anything for the greater good, as far as we’re concerned!

The Veggie Nuggets are made from seaweed, plant-based fibers, and dairy. So they are not suitable for vegans yet, but for all vegetarians: Happy World Vegetarian Day!
