No more queuing: Salvo’s incredible tiramisu and cookies can now be ordered online
The best tiramisu in the Netherlands, and cookies that will make your mouth water just by looking at them: you’ll find them at Italian bakery Salvo Bakehouse in Amsterdam. Don’t feel like queuing up for them? Then I have good news for you! Thanks to online supermarket Crisp, which delights us with great collaborations more often, you no longer have to leave the house or join the queue for these viral baked goods. You can now order them online. Be quick, though, because once they’re gone, they’re gone!
We’ve already written enthusiastically about Salvo. ‘Salvo is the nicest and best Italian bakery in the Netherlands,’ we wrote after visiting the shop of Neapolitan Salvatore Lioniello in Amsterdam. Salvatore started baking during lockdown, when he and his wife couldn’t travel to Italy for Easter. And his baked goods were a hit. Such a hit, in fact, that he opened Salvo, specialising in brioche pastries. And it’s still an incredible success.
Queues for Salvo’s tiramisu and cookies
Queues, queues and more queues. No wonder, because Salvo’s very best Italian pastries are worth the wait. Fans from all over the country gather at the door to get their hands on the very best tiramisu, cookies, rolls and other baked goods. But from Thursday 27 March, you’ll no longer have to join the queue. You’ll find them in the digital pop-up shop of grocery app Crisp. This means you can get those viral gooey cookies and Salvo’s tinned tiramisu delivered to your home quickly and easily!
Bake the cookies at home
The gooey cookies are baked con amore by Salvo’s bakers, and all you have to do is finish baking them in the oven at home. Each one is a generously filled cookie with a soft centre, available in pistachio, triple chocolate, Biscoff and hazelnut-gianduja flavours. The gooey cookies are available in packs of 2 (2 x 135 grams for €10.49) and packs of 4 (4 x 135 grams for €20.99).
The best tiramisu in the country
Salvo’s signature tiramisù has been a hit since day one. The tiramisu is served in a tin and contains Italian savoiardi biscuits dipped in espresso, creamy mascarpone and a crisp, crunchy layer of dark chocolate for that signature crack when served. Oh boy…. The tinned tiramisu serves 3 people and costs €17.99 (500 grams).
Salvo’s baked goods will be available from Thursday 27 March in Crisp’s digital pop-up shop. Be quick, because once they’re gone, they’re gone! I’m setting my alarm for it.
