No Rules opens a second location in Amsterdam’s Vondelpark

Restaurant No Rules on Marie Heinekenplein in Amsterdam has gained a new location, and what a cool spot it is: the Vondelpark Pavilion.

The historic Vondelpark Pavilion is one of Amsterdam’s most beautiful buildings. Most people will know it better as the Film Museum, which was housed there from 1972 to 2012. The white, stately building, with its beautiful raised terrace as a bonus, was built between 1874 and 1881 at the lowest point in the city.
Holy shit!
Given the current measures, No Rules Vondelpark is open daily from 10:00 a.m. for breakfast, lunch and an early dinner (or should they call it dunch?) until 8:00 p.m. And just like at the location in De Pijp, the No Rules pizzas (but not round) are also on the menu here. Because why should a pizza necessarily be round or Italian? “By following the rules, you get a truly delicious pizza. But if you’re looking for something more—something that makes you shout holy shit, WTF or OMG—then you have to let go of the rules,” says the No Rules team.
So here they serve pizzas topped with truffle cream cheese sauce, egg, mushroom and truffle (the signature No Rules pizza), as well as a pizza with marinated aubergine, miso gel, sun-dried tomato and lamb’s lettuce (the Pepperoni Miso).

Tuna cornetto
No Rules throws more rules overboard, too. How about a tuna cornetto (crispy rolls filled with tuna tartare and yuzu gel) and sea bass ceviche with carrot-daikon spaghetti and puffed quinoa? Both are delicious snacks, by the way.

Mini pizza with Iberico ham
The drinks bites are definitely recommended in my book, because the mini pizzas are delicious too. Filo pastry with Iberico ham, tomato cream, avocado and chives, mmm.
Hopefully we’ll soon be free of all the restrictive measures, because with No Rules, Vondelpark has gained a great new spot that will be open until the late hours as soon as it can be.
