The true Nutella lover probably has a gigantic bucket in the pantry. And if not, I’m secretly assuming you at least have a regular-sized jar, because hello: Nutella. Do you also have 2 eggs at home? And a packet of flour? Great, you can get started.
If your need for comfort food is extremely high and you have enough Nutella on hand, I also recommend Nutella cupcakes and Nutella ice cream. You know, sometimes it’s simply a day that can only be fixed with a whole lot of Nutella.
How to make the Nutella cookies
- Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Put the Nutella, egg and egg yolk in a bowl. Mix on medium speed until everything is combined. This takes about 30 seconds. Then add the flour and mix on low speed. Scrape down the sides each time so that all the flour is incorporated. Mixing on low speed takes about 15 seconds. Optionally add the chocolate chips or M&M’s and briefly mix them in.
- The mixture will make about 12 portions. Use 2 tablespoons of mixture per cookie. Shape them into balls and place them on the baking sheet, leaving enough space between them. Flatten the balls. Optionally sprinkle with a little flaky salt.
- Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, until the edges become drier. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a rack until they have cooled completely.
