At Sapporo ramen SORA on Amsterdam’s Ceintuurbaan, you can enjoy a delicious bowl of steaming ramen for very little. For €15, you leave with a full stomach.

Noodles
The restaurant is named after the Japanese city of Sapporo. This city is known for its delicious noodles. The restaurant’s owner is from Sapporo, and the Sapporo Nishiyama noodles in the broth are imported directly from Sapporo.

Broth
The broth is faultless too. The tonkotsu (pork broth) is wonderfully creamy. The shio ramen is deliciously salty, well-rounded and deep in flavor. We didn’t try the veggie version, but the reviews are glowing there too.

Toppings
Every bowl contains at least Chinese cabbage, onion and bean sprouts. Beyond that, it naturally depends on which ramen you choose. You can always order extra toppings. An egg, for example, costs one euro, and extra wakame is added to your bowl for the same amount. Extra char siu (wonderfully juicy) costs €3.

Favorite
The ‘Gokujo Sapporo Kuro Miso Ramen’ is listed as a special and is absolutely delicious. Miso ramen with pork, seaweed, corn, spring onion, char siu and roasted garlic oil. Yum.

Come early or don’t mind waiting in line for a table.
