Pear and Gorgonzola Meal Salad

The sweetness of pear is an incredibly delicious combination with the spicy, creamy flavor of gorgonzola. If you don’t like gorgonzola, a mild goat cheese or even feta is a good alternative. You can also replace the crunch of hazelnuts with almonds or walnuts. Whatever you like best! And handy: you can prepare the pears in advance and make the rest of the salad just before serving.

How to make a pear and gorgonzola salad
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the pears and lemon juice and fry for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown. Turn the pears over and fry the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, place the Belgian and red endive leaves, watercress, hazelnuts and gorgonzola in a salad bowl. Add the chili dressing and toss well so that everything is coated with the dressing.
- Divide the fried pears between two plates and garnish with the salad.
