People Find the Weirdest Things in Their Freezers and Twitter Goes Wild
I don’t know where people found the time, but apparently there were people who, during quarantine (remember that?), learned four new languages, earned a master’s degree in law and built a rooftop terrace on their house. Back then, I also saw the light and decided to defrost my freezer. I found two vegetarian meatballs and a toy car (my son is sixteen). But it turns out it can get even worse.
Michael Patrick’s mother found 25-year-old (!) puff pastry in her freezer and Twitter went wild:
Patrick’s mother had no intention of simply throwing away her golden find (no waste, love it!):
So Patrick decided to share with the world how the elderly puff pastry snack was brought back to life:

A woman named Susan also found something tasty—in her kitchen cupboard, another source of inspiration—and wondered whether Patrick’s mother might like to make a pie with it:

Some people reacted in shock: ‘how can you still eat this?!’, but others thought it was a great opportunity to dig into the depths of their freezers too. And it turns out it can get even worse… How about this tasty tin of ox tongue from 1971?

And so people kept trying to outdo one another. But the most valuable thing during corona times? Maybe the baking powder from 1996, now that everyone has taken up baking…
