Pepsi has a new flavor and not everyone is equally enthusiastic (understatement)

As if cherry, ginger and vanilla cola weren’t enough: competitor Pepsi recently launched a new (and sickly sweet) flavor, entirely dedicated to Easter. And that sounds fun, but the new Pepsi doesn’t have many fans (yet).

Some flavor combinations are simply brilliant. From strawberries with balsamic vinegar to apple pie with cheese: it’s all tastier than you might initially think. But with its collaboration with Peeps, Pepsi has, according to many, slightly missed the mark.
Gross or golden?
Peeps are marshmallows sold in America and Canada in the shape of a chick and in various colors. In these countries, the marshmallow is therefore known as the Easter candy. But the reputation of the Peeps chick is not exactly positive. People even call it the least favorite candy you can eat at Easter. A Pepsi flavored like the unpopular marshmallow chick is therefore not being welcomed with open arms, as various tweets show.
Peepsi in the Netherlands?
We think Pepsi that tastes like marshmallows comes fairly close to vanilla cola. Maybe it’s even a touch sweeter? The new flavor is highly unlikely to become as big a hit as the Apple Pie edition. And rest assured: Peeps Pepsi (Peepsi) won’t be coming this way anytime soon either.
