Pistachio lovers, gather round! And head to Lidl, because they’re now selling pistachio croissants. In the Christmas range, you’ll find a bag of Deluxe all-butter croissants (from the freezer, 4 for €3.99) as well as – because things can always get better – a jar of pistachio cream to drizzle over them. Yep, Lidl simply wants us to spend the holidays in pure pistachio glory. And honestly, why not?
Because the pistachio craze is still going strong – at least here in the editorial office. Pistachio also works ridiculously well with croissants.
Why we love pistachio so much – even after the hype
We thought the pistachio hype would die down after the pistachio tiramisus, pistachio lattes, pistachio kunafa and pistachio doughnuts… but nope. We’re collectively addicted. And that’s not so strange:
