Pizza with more than 250 types of cheese breaks Guinness Book of Records record

Pizza 257 soorten kaas

I’m a huge cheese lover. One of the biggest among my friends, even. Infamous for my love of cheese. I’m a cheese consumer. But holy shitballs, even I have limits. Because a Quattro Formaggi pizza—I’d never say no to that (preferably with extra ‘nduja on top, yes please)—but a pizza with 250 (!!) types of cheese… No, I think I’ll really pass on that. How thick must that thing be, anyway?

Well, pretty thick, I can tell you that. Just check out the video below. What I found funny was that I really imagined a gi-gan-tic pizza in front of me. Because when you hear Guinness World Record, I automatically think: BIG. But it turns out that’s not the case at all. In fact, it’s a smaller pizza than you get at the average Italian restaurant. Just a lot thicker, of course, because all 257 cheeses had to fit on it. So in a way, it’s better that it isn’t very large, because a single slice is already quite the calorie bomb…

So much for a slice?!

Another fun fact: it wasn’t made in Italy, but in France. There’s a good chance it’s also one of the most expensive pizzas ever (especially when you look at the size-to-price ratio), because all in all it cost more than €1000! But hey, at least you get a mention in The Guinness Book of World Records!
