Pizzas in the Wild: A Pepperoni, Please
It all started with a graffiti tag of a pizza somewhere on a white wall in LA. Photographer Jonpaul Douglass walked past it, had a laugh and fantasized about an LA covered in pizzas. Real pizzas.
It didn’t stop at a fantasy. Jonpaul made it a reality by turning it into a photo series: #pizzasinthewild. Under that hashtag, you’ll find all kinds of surreal situations on Instagram: from ‘pepperponi’ to ‘pizza tank’.
Now you may think that all those pizzas have been neatly photoshopped in. But no. These are real pizzas. Fresh pizzas, even.
Ninja Turtles Pizza
The best pizza for such an artistic snap? “A Ninja Turtles Pizza,” Jonpaul said in the Global Yodel. A what? You know: a perfectly round pizza with a thick crust and neatly distributed pepperoni. In the end, though, he chose the pizzas from Little Caesars.
The only thing Jonpaul sometimes did was warm them up in the microwave, because: “some situations need a floppy pizza and some need a hard pizza.”
