Nina: “When it comes to coming up with new, original recipes, Elise is the more creative of the two of us. Because, let’s be honest, a hotdog roll like that is just amazing!”

How to make the hotdog roll

  • Defrost the filo pastry in its packaging for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  • Put the sauerkraut in a pan with 3 tablespoons of water, bring to the boil and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Place two sheets of filo pastry next to each other on the baking sheet, allowing them to overlap slightly. Brush with
some oil and place two more sheets on top. Spread the crème fraîche over the filo pastry and distribute the mustard on top.
  • Distribute the sauerkraut over the sheets and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the hotdogs along the long side of the filo pastry sheets and roll up. Lightly brush the roll with some oil.
  • Bake the hotdog roll in the oven for about 20 minutes.
  • Cut into 4 pieces and serve as a tasty snack. Double the quantity if you want to serve it as a dinner for four!
