Recipe: Oreo-Nutella Ice Cream

Less sugar, less fat, less meat… We all know that this is healthy, but sometimes nothing beats an overdose of cream, chocolate or melted cheese. That’s exactly what you’ll find in Sabine Koning’s Guilty Pleasures cookbook. Take this outrageously delicious ice cream…

Sabine: “If you’re going to indulge, do it properly. Personally, I like to combine as many guilty pleasures as possible in one recipe, and I have to say: I did a pretty good job with this Oreo-Nutella ice cream. The great thing about this ice cream is that it’s incredibly easy to make and you don’t need any expensive equipment. There’s a chance you’ll want to make this ice cream every weekend from now on, but hey. You can blame me for that.”
How to make Oreo-Nutella ice cream
- Using an electric mixer, beat the condensed milk, semi-skimmed milk and Nutella until light and airy.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and add it to the Nutella mixture. Fold together lightly.
- Crush the Oreos by hand and then fold them into the liquid ice cream mixture.
- Pour the Oreo-Nutella ice cream into an airtight container and place it in the freezer for at least 5 hours.
- Remove the ice cream from the freezer 10 minutes before serving so it has a chance to soften slightly.
