Recipe: Oreo sushi

The tastiest cookies you can buy at the supermarket are Oreos. They’re already a delicious cookie to eat on their own, but they’re also perfect for that cheesecake base, to make ice cream or fill with cookie dough. Also delicious: this Oreo sushi.

No, not a single sushi ingredient has been used in this Oreo sushi—combining fish with chocolate seems like a very bad idea to me, after all. But why is it called Oreo sushi, then? Because of its shape—and because, just like real sushi, you roll it up! So delicious and so easy to make!
How to make Oreo sushi
- Twist the cookies apart and scrape the white cream off the cookies, putting it in a bowl. Repeat until you’ve done all the cookies.
- Put the cookies in a food processor and grind them finely. Add three tablespoons of milk and process once more.
- Place a piece of plastic wrap on the counter and put the dough ball on it. Roll it out into a square with a rolling pin. Then cut off the edges so it’s completely straight.
- Mix the white cream with 2 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Then spread it over the rolled-out dough.
- Then roll up the dough using the plastic wrap. Wrap the Oreo sushi roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate it for about half an hour.
- Cut the sushi roll into pieces and enjoy!
