Recipe: slutty cheesecake bars

So creamy, sweet and gooey that no one can resist them: these Oreo cheesecake bars. Without a doubt, they disappear down your gullet, only to leave you in a full-blown food coma after a brief sugar rush. Does that remind you of anything? Voilà: the explanation behind their name.

Note: you do have to put in a little effort for these slutty bakes. In fact, they play hard to get and need to spend at least 3 hours in the fridge. But believe me, afterward… Oh man. Gooey, sticky, crunch galore. That sounds like a rap song and honestly: these little treats wouldn’t look out of place in a hip-hop video.
Anyway, here’s how to make these slutty cheesecake bars:
- Preheat the oven to 160 degrees
- Line a baking tin or oven dish measuring approximately 20×20 cm with baking paper.
- Press the cookie dough flat into the bottom.
- Place a layer of Oreos on top. Leave them whole unless you need to break them to cover the entire surface.
- Now it’s time for the cheesecake layer: put the cream cheese in a medium-sized bowl and beat it with a mixer until soft and smooth.
- Add the sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt and mix until smooth.
- Pour the cream cheese over the Oreo layer and make sure they are completely covered.
- Cover that layer with broken Oreos and bake for approximately 30 to 35 minutes. Until the inside is only very slightly jiggly.
- Let it cool for a moment, then place it in the fridge. At least 3 hours, at most overnight. Tip: don’t try to be clever by putting it straight from the oven into the fridge; that’s bad for your fridge.
- Remove the cheesecake bar from the tin, cut it into pieces and pour some more warm caramel over it before serving. Enjoy!
