Recipe: spaghetti pie

Spaghettitaart-Favorflav

Italians will probably break my kneecaps if they read this recipe, so first of all: mi dispiace. But this recipe is a lifesaver for parents with picky children, because this spaghetti pie is familiar kids’ spaghetti in a new guise.

No vegetables, not a shred of onion or a hint of carrot: no toddler can take offense at this spaghetti. Of course, you can serve an educational excuse salad alongside it, but there’s a good chance those sticky little hands will head only for the spaghetti pie and leave the green leaves untouched.

How to make spaghetti pie

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Cook the spaghetti and drain.
  • Stir the beaten eggs, salt and pepper, and cheese into the spaghetti.
  • Place the small round cheese in the center of the greased springform pan. Arrange the spaghetti around it.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Cut the spaghetti pie into wedges and dip them in the melted cheese.

In short, childishly simple, but if you’d still like some visual help, take a look at this video.
