Recipe: Tiramisu Elliott

tiramisu

As Missy Elliott would say: open ya mouth, give you a taste. She seems like a wonderfully hospitable girl to us! And with this recipe, you can get started yourself and to Get Ur (dessert) Freak On.

How to make it

  • Make the coffee in a cafetière (the 4 tablespoons with the 500 ml water).
  • Pour into a mixing jug and stir in the amaretto.
  • Mix the mascarpone and custard in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the whipped cream and stir well.
  • Mix the cocoa powder and instant espresso in another bowl.
  • For the bottom layer, cover the base of a rectangular baking dish with half of the biscuits.
  • Pour half of the coffee/amaretto mixture over them.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked biscuits in the dish and dust with half of the coffee/cocoa mix.
  • Dip the remaining biscuits one by one into the coffee/amaretto cup (or do this in a deep plate), and arrange them in a layer in the baking dish.
  • Spread the rest of the mascarpone mixture over them and sprinkle with the rest of the coffee/cocoa mix.
  • Crush the chocolate flakes a little finer and sprinkle them over the top.
  • If you have coffee beans, you can also use them to decorate.
  • Place the tiramisu in the fridge for 6 hours to set; afterwards, you can cut it into pieces and serve.
