Rock Christmas with a chef & app
Cooking like a chef. We’re spotting a cautious trend. Recently, our man in the provinces ventured into the kitchen with a complete do it yourself Jonnie Boer package, and now our favorite cooking rocker Michiel van der Eerde is also coming up with a Christmas menu. In collaboration with the fresher-than-fresh supermarket app Crisp. (Noteworthy detail: both Michiel and Crisp have been nominated for the FavorFlav Food Top 100.)
Michiel van der Eerden, chef and founder of BAUT, C and Zuid – and founding father of the pop-up phenomenon, having been the first with his BAUT many years ago – continues to reinvent himself. If it’s not through cooking clinics or special cooking evenings with inspiring guest chefs, it’s through his Crisp collaboration.
Cook like a boss
Today, he is launching a culinary Christmas menu in collaboration with the supermarket app for incredibly fresh food. The menu brings together Crisp’s finest, freshest ingredients with Michiel’s knowledge and expertise. So this Christmas, you can cook like a star yourself. What does the menu look like? Full of contrasts, if we are to believe Michiel and Crisp: earthy yet festive, classic yet unconventional. In other words: steak tartare with Michiel’s signature bacon mayonnaise, mushroom pappardelle with truffle cream (with real truffle!), and a pumpkin crumble with pumpkin ice cream.
Ten euros per person
If the menu itself hasn’t already got you drooling, the price undoubtedly will: a main course with real truffle and king oyster mushroom for ten euros per person?! Yep. Crisp has already done the rounds of the specialty shops for you. Ideal.
Light a candle, done
You can put together the Christmas dinner entirely according to your own wishes, and each dish is portioned for two people. The bacon mayonnaise and samphire cream are made by Michiel and delivered ready-made with the corresponding dishes. Michiel’s recipes (and practical tips) are ready in the app. All dishes from the Crisp Christmas menu can be ordered from today, and will be delivered right to your kitchen before Christmas. All you have to do is light the candles.
