Sinfully delicious: Baileys Salted Caramel Espresso Martini

Baileys really is the gift that keeps on giving. I’m certainly happy about that, and apparently so are you, because the post about Lidl stocking Baileys ice cream generated thousands of reactions. So I’m happy to share this delicious Baileys cocktail recipe slash dessert with you.

To wake me up and fuck me up
Excuse me, what did you just say? The same thing the top model asked English bartender Dick Bradsell to make for her in 1983. What she got was the now-famous Espresso Martini. That’s exactly what this cocktail does, after all. Don’t worry, the Baileys Salted Caramel Espresso Martini we’re making is a little less intense. Our cocktail contains just one unit of alcohol, which is equivalent to one standard glass of beer or wine. That makes it lighter than a ‘standard’ cocktail and therefore ideal to enjoy with dinner (or breakfast, it’s cold outside, it’s corona, who cares!)
What you need for a Salted Caramel Espresso Martini with Baileys
- 20 ml Vodka
- 20 ml Baileys Salted Caramel
- 30 ml Espresso
- coffee beans
How to make it
Fill the shaker with all the ingredients and add ice cubes; shake very hard for 10 seconds. Pour immediately, without ice, into a cocktail glass. Garnish the cocktail with 3 coffee beans. Oh, and if you don’t happen to have a shaker at home, a Tupperware container or water bottle works just as well. Cheers!
