Snackspert is a fan: ‘This is a really delicious microwave snack’
Eke Bosman, better known as Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, ate his first frikandel as a baby, hates vlammetjes, has already devoured at least 1,000 burgers in his life, suspects there’s more mayonnaise in his body than blood, and shares his best and worst snack reviews on FavorFlav every other week. This week was a good one for Snackspert, packed with stars!
Bacon Mayonnaise from Lidl
Sometimes you see something on the shelves and immediately think: this has got to be disgusting. That’s what I thought, for example, about Lidl’s bacon mayonnaise—how could that combination possibly work?! Like putting Messi on a team with Neymar and Mbappe, that doesn’t work ei—never mind. You get what I mean. Good + good doesn’t always equal good, but in this case the sum leads to ‘excellent’. What a wonderfully delicious mayo this is. The lovely creaminess of authentic mayonnaise combined with the salty bits of bacon, which are also so tiny that you don’t feel like you have anything crunchy in your mouth. I want to congratulate Lidl on coming up with this sauce, because this one’s a keeper. Even after the holidays. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mora Meatball Sandwich
Anyone who faithfully follows this page knows that I can give both a 3-euro and a 15-euro pizza five stars, even though they’re very different from each other. That obviously has to do with the price-quality ratio, so with this explanation I’d like to warn you in advance about this review, because I was ready to shoot it down like Virgil van Dijk does his opponents. But this Mora meatball sandwich is simply very good for what it is. There’s no other way to put it. The bun is soggy, the minced meat actually tastes of something, and it’s also topped with small pieces of onion and satay sauce—I can only conclude that this is a very successful microwave snack. I promise the next supermarket snack will be a major disappointment, honestly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Winter specials and a viandel from Kwalitaria
Kwalitaria. The high-quality snack bar, as we might call it. Honestly, in the past I’ve never been able to catch this snack chain serving anything subpar. But the latest new snacks—the stroganoff croquette and the nacho cheese bites fries—are nevertheless a reason to temporarily rename Kwalitaria “Kwalitari-no”. What a limp affair this was. As you can see, the fries are pretty awful, topped with the otherwise delicious nacho cheese bites, and although the stroganoff croquette has flavor, it’s far too limp. Just like those fries, by the way. As if they’d been sitting in a puddle for a while. Unfortunately, I have to be honest, but I hope the next winter specials will be much better. ⭐️
Oh, and that viandel was actually absolutely excellent, by the way. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
