Special for World Martini Day: the recipe for the most delicious Martini

Congratulations! Today is World Martini Day and we’d love to celebrate! Because just like James Bond, we do enjoy a Martini from time to time. But how do you make the very best one? Mr. Lyan will tell you.

Quarantine? Quarantini!
Ryan Chetiyawardana aka Mr Lyan from cocktail bar Super Lyan (named the Best Hotel Bar in Amsterdam), knows better than anyone how to make a kick-ass Martini. “A Martini remains one of my all-time favourite drinks. The flavour is very personal, and although simple in terms of ingredients, it’s difficult to take the drink to the desired heights. One of my current favourite versions of the Martini came about at home. I miss being able to make the drink for friends and family during these times, but this Martini is a very welcome toast to dinner after a long day. It’s a richer version, but perfect for making at home!”
Here’s what you need
55 ml Beefeater London Dry Gin
15 ml Martini Extra Dry
1 dash orange bitters
1 dash white absinthe
How to make Mr Lyan’s favourite Martini
Stir the ingredients well with ice, strain the drink into a Martini glass and garnish with a (Nocellara) olive. Got a taste for it? Then build one of those cosy Martini towers from Super Lyan. Cheers!

At the bar
Would you rather (once again) knock back a few Martinis at the bar at Super Lyan? You have my blessing! And perhaps we’ll run into each other at the bar, because Super Lyan is thoroughly FavorFlav-approved and we’re happy to go there too.
