Attention, sports junkies! Or rather: everyone who loves tasty snacks, pay attention. Sprint to HEMA today, because you can now score tompouce- and stroopwafel-flavored protein bars there. How delicious!
Mention HEMA and you mention tompouce. (And smoked sausage.) The Netherlands’ best-known all-round chain has proven several times in recent years that it is the undisputed king of tompouce. Tompouce suitcases, tompouce scouring sponges, tompouce nail polish and even a tompouce for your lady garden: HEMA makes it possible to lead an entire existence in tompouce style. And now tompouce protein bars have been added to the lineup. Stroopwafel bars too, of course. Also very HEMA, since they have already sold stroopwafel beer and stroopwafel-scented candles.
Sweet, crunchy powerhouses
Whether you like snacking on a protein bar after exercising or simply enjoy a good, sweet snack now and then, this HEMA tompouce and stroopwafel bar seems perfect for you. They are both sweet, crunchy and chewy. The bars were developed in collaboration with XXL Nutrition, an online sports-products retailer. For those interested: a 60-gram bar contains 20 grams of protein. And also for those interested: they really do taste like tompouce and stroopwafel.
Protein powders
The hearts of sports fanatics will now start beating even faster. Besides protein bars, HEMA and XXL Nutrition are also launching protein powders. So you can make a milkshake-like protein shake yourself in tompouce and stroopwafel flavors. Does it taste a little like gulping down liquid tompouce and stroopwafel? Maybe, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious.
The tompouce and stroopwafel bars
Are already available in many HEMA stores at the moment. From Monday, May 20, they will be available in all HEMA stores. You can buy the bars for €2.50 each and the protein powders for €15 per tub.
