Steal the show with homemade Sgroppino

Sgroppino is a delicious way to finish a meal, but we also happily drink it as an aperitivo, just as we drink our cappuccino (apologies to all Italians!) after eleven in the morning. Besides being a darn delicious drink, it’s also incredibly easy to make yourself.

Sgroppino con champagne
These days, there are all kinds of sgroppini, but originally a Sgroppino was simply lemon sorbet topped with grappa, served as a digestif after a meal. Sgroppino comes from sgroppare, sciogliere il nodo, meaning ‘to untie the knot’ or ‘to aid digestion’. In the video below, we explain how to make the most delicious Sgroppino. Yourself. In no time. And not with prosecco, but with champagne. Perfect for NYE.
