Step by step: organizing an Easter brunch

Easter is nowhere near as stressful a period as Christmas, but preparing an Easter brunch can still cause quite a bit of stress. Haven’t got anything in the house yet and don’t know where to start? Follow these steps and you’ll be looking your Easter best on Sunday:

Step 1: food
For months before Easter, you stuff yourself with chocolate Easter eggs, but Easter consists of more than just chocolate. The Easter brunch is the perfect opportunity to eat all your favorite brunch dishes together. Pick up delicious croissants and other rolls fresh from the bakery, and make one or two dishes yourself. How about classic scones with a generous dollop of jam and clotted cream? Eggs in all shapes and sizes, such as frittata or Eggs Benedict according to our recipe. Getting a little tired of those? Then try these Easter treats from other countries around the world.

Step 2: drinks
Easter brunch is the perfect excuse for day drinking. Because besides fresh juices, the bubbles shouldn’t be missing either. Choose a delicious champagne or upgrade your orange juice by turning it into a mimosa. Or how about this yuzu mimosa? It’s wise to prepare the drinks in advance, so you won’t be fumbling around once brunch has started. But coffee and tea are essential too. How about a delicious cappuccino or a chai latte?
Step 3: decoration
What is an Easter brunch without poorly painted eggs? Exactly. Decorations don’t have to be over the top, but make them easygoing. Get your finest tableware out of the cupboard and add a fresh bunch of flowers (ask your guests to bring something along if necessary). And do you have children? Let them make a mess with those eggs in the morning. That’ll keep them busy and provide extra decoration. Or, if you feel like it, you can of course also paint an egg yourself.
Step 4: the day after
All this food will of course result in leftovers. Turn them into bread pudding or try one of these other ideas for your leftover bread.
