Stuffed camel is the world’s largest dish

Party, party, and what are we going to eat? With a dish of deviled eggs, a nice bowl of pasta and a good cake, you can survive the average birthday party, but if a hundred people are coming to your wedding in the desert, you’ll have to think a little more creatively. You wouldn’t expect it: the ultimate party recipe can be found in The Guinness Book of Records.

According to the officials at The Guinness Book of Records, the world’s largest party dish is a stuffed camel. This impressive dish is a tradition among Bedouins and is certainly enough for a hundred people. Absolutely festive, because the camel is roasted on a spit over an open fire.

Cooked or not?
What do you stuff the camel with? That’s quite a job. Inside the camel is a lamb, which is stuffed with roasted chickens, which in turn are stuffed with fish packed with boiled eggs. It takes about 24 hours for the camel to cook, but then there’s enough for all the wedding guests.
To the supermarket for stuffed camel
This is the shopping list for one stuffed camel:

No joke
Is this a joke? Some people think so, although the recipe appears in several cookbooks. Difficulty level? Try getting hold of a camel first, then we’ll talk.
