David Kellerman and Valerie Hirschäuser are the two people behind the tea start-up. The two university friends aim to deliver fair and fresh tea, but without a Fair Trade label. The reason? You pay Max Havelaar a lot of money for the certificate, and according to David and Valerie, that is money that ultimately does not go to the tea farmers.

Working with producers

Instead, they work directly with the producers and bypass the tea auction and intermediaries. This allows them to monitor the quality and fair production process of the tea. Equally important is that they bring the tea to the Netherlands within three weeks. The result? As a customer, you only drink fresh tea. With large producers, shipping the tea often takes several months, which naturally affects the quality.

Black & green

You can currently subscribe to two varieties: Kenyan smoky black tea and green tea with a hint of almond. Every month, two 40-gram bags of tea costing € 14.95 are delivered to your doorstep.

Why not drink tea with your dinner too?
