Nasi goreng literally means ‘fried rice’; it is Indonesia’s national pride. CNN conducted a survey ten years ago about the tastiest food in the world, and nasi came in second – after rendang. I love it and, yes, I regularly use one of those Conimex packets. Deliciously easy when I don’t have much time.
Not fully sealed
Do you also have packets of Conimex Ready-to-Eat Nasi at home? Then check which date is printed on them. Unilever is recalling the packets with best-before dates 13/07/2022, 17/08/2022 and 18/08/2022. The reason is that it cannot be guaranteed that the packaging for these specific batches is fully sealed, and there may be microscopic holes in the packaging. As a result, the product may spoil and is therefore not suitable for consumption. It doesn’t sound terribly shocking, but it’s better not to use them, according to Unilever.
