Ter Marsch & Co wins Tastiest Hamburger 2020

Burger fans, take note! Chef Rohini Atwaroe of Ter Marsch & Co became the big winner of the Tastiest Hamburger 2020 competition during Horecava. And believe me, you’ll want to sink your teeth into this burger immediately. Because wow, what a combination of flavors in one bun!

The Tastiest Hamburger is no ordinary little burger. ‘The Gojira’ is a Korean burger served on an Asian bun with a patty (that is, the disk) made from dry-aged rib eye and Japanese Wagyu beef (the kind of meat that makes meatlovers start drooling at the mere sight of the word).
More specifically…
In addition to Wagyu, the burger is topped with sweet-and-sour mini cucumber, pulled pork, roasted pork belly, red onion, the citrus fruit yuzu, manuka honey, gochujang sauce (made from fermented beans) and nori cassava chips. Yes, that’s quite a mouthful, and the jury was very impressed: “original, with a beautiful progression and highly distinctive, diverse flavors that nevertheless complement one another.”
By winning this award, Ter Marsch & Co proves that it still belongs among the best burger specialists in the Netherlands. In 2015, the burger bar already won the award for best burger at Horecava, and recently Ter Marsch & Co Amsterdam won the Best Restyling Award during the Entree Awards 2019.
Go get ‘m
The award-winning ‘The Gojira’ will be available from this coming Friday at the Rotterdam and Amsterdam locations of Ter Marsch & Co. The burger is served in an Asian steamer basket, two at a time.
