Test your taste buds in The Tasting Games
Are you a true foodie? And do you enjoy putting your tasting skills to the test? Then The Tasting Games might be right up your alley. The creators are launching a series of online games in which you compete against other foodies to see who has the best palate.
The Tasting Games combines the fun of a pub quiz with the deliciousness of a tasting in one app. Participants sign up via the calendar for a game of their choice. Tasting whisky? Testing chocolate? Eating your way through a complete tapas menu while taking a quiz? Via a livestream, the quizmaster guides everyone through the game as they talk and taste.
Famous hosts
You receive a tasting box at home containing everything needed for the tasting. Each game has a unique theme. The quizmasters are renowned food professionals who play the game live with you. Cocktail lovers can explore classic cocktails with the Netherlands’ best cocktail duo, Tess Posthumus and Timo Janse. Or learn all about port and cheese under the guidance of the experts from fromagerie l’Amuse.
Wine writer Esmee Langereis hosts a Tasting Game featuring five wines from Chateau Amsterdam, sausage from Brandt & Levie and cheeses from Kef. During the tasting, participants learn all about the flavors of their theme within an hour through quiz questions. Only one taster walks away with the win.
Calendar
You can play online against your friends or against fellow tasters you don’t know. For some games, you can also participate with a limited number of participants at the game location—naturally, completely corona-proof.
